Comics

I’ve been a fan of Comics for  a long time now but some day it switched more to Manga and forgot about the awesome world of western comics. So I’m really thankful to my fiancé that he brought me back into this.
During my last visit in the US we started to collect comics together and I have to say in like 3 months we collected nearly 300 comics. It’s a mixture between old and new.

My favorite of the newest comic series is definately „Avengers vs. X-Men“, even tho it is limited to 12 comics, but what makes it really interesting to collect are all the different Variant issues they come out with. Each issue comes with at least 3-4 Variants and until now I really loved every single one.

When it comes to older comics I’m really in love with the Iron Man Franchise. Yes, I’m an Iron Man Fangirl & also proud of it. ^_^ I currently read the „Legacy of Doom“, which was released in 2008. So it’s a quite new one. But the reason why I love it so much, is because it combines my favorite Super Villian and my favorite Super Hero all in one. The storyline is awesome but there was one thing that really creeped me out and this was the “Eyeball Monster”. I think it was one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen.

But yeah to come to the point of this entry. Don’t forget about the awesome western comics. Asian comics might be hip and trendy right now (no, I’m not saying that they are bad!) but western comics have so much more history for us, that we as comic book fans should cherish.

San Pedro

After spending the first 3 days with meeting family and friends of my boyfriend it was finally time to visit his hometown.

San Pedro is an awesome town which is part of “Port Los Angeles”. We checked in a nice hotel on an Air Force Base and I have to say it was a really good decission.
The first thing we visited in San Pedro was the “Korean Friendship Bell”. From up there you have a really nice view over different sides of the city and the sea. It is so nice to just sit there and smell the air which is full of salt from the sea.

It is really relaxing to see the ships crossing by and hear the seals howl.

We also went to the Beach, which is really one of my favorite parts of San Pedro. The walks we took there at night were awesome since you could see the stars and not to forget the wonderful sunsets before the night came.
Perfect Sunset at the Beach <3

San Pedro is a typical Seaside town, but it has one of the best “Pencake & Waffle” places in the World and deffinately the best Sandwich place I have ever been to. I think if a town or city has good food places it is really nice to stay there.

Our first breakfast in San Pedro we had at the “Omelette and Waffle Shop”. They have a really awesome selection of Waffles, Pencakes and Omelettes. I tried the Blueberry Pencakes and they were delicious. In combination with the fresh Orange juice I would even say perfect.
You can have breakfast there every morning without getting bored, because the selection they have is just so huge. I really can recommend this place if you are ever find your way to San Pedro.

Actually I’m pretty pampered when it comes to Pizza since I had several good original italian Pizzas in my life, but the one Pizza place in  San Pedro made really good Pizza. I have to admit this, but sadly I forgot the name of the Pizza place. >.<

It took me until the day I had to leave to go to the BEST Sandwich place in the World. “Busy Bees” is really the best Sandwich place in the World for me. Their Sandwiches are so delicious. Combined with Dr. Pepper Cherry it was an awesome breakfast. And as far as I know you just get them in San Pedro. So you have to go there to get the taste of the best Sandwiches in the World.

I really can recommend to visit San Pedro when you go to California and it is not that far to drive to the city of Los Angeles and you can relax from the hectic life of the big city. And don’t forget to visit the awesome food places if you are as addicted to good food like I am.

We saw that "Arrest" when we were at a Friends Party

And on my next visit to San Pedro I will deffinately find out the name of the Pizza place I forgot.
